Regenerative Tourism Statement

Our Commitment to Regenerative Tourism
At Ironbridge View Townhouse, we believe holidays should do more than create wonderful memories, they should leave a lasting positive mark on the places we visit.
Our beautiful townhouse which is set in the heart of the Ironbridge Gorge a UNESCO World Heritage Site, offers guests a chance to connect with Shropshire’s rich heritage while making a positive impact on the environment and local community.
What does regenerative tourism mean to us?
It means going beyond sustainability, and giving back more than we take. It's about restoring, supporting, and helping the Ironbridge area thrive for future generations.
When you stay with us, you’re helping to:
Support the local community -
We proudly promote local shops, eateries and artisans, encouraging guests to explore and enjoy the area with care and respect. You'll find lots of local recommendations in our Guests Information folder.
Preserve Cultural Heritage -
Our townhouse is carefully maintained to preserve its historic charm while offering modern comfort and thoughtful touches.
Minimise Environmental Impact -
We use eco-friendly practices, reduce waste, and invite guests to tread lightly and travel mindfully. We have been credited Silver Green Tourism Award. Our sustainability practices
Give Back to Nature & Heritage -
As a small business, we believe in contributing each year to local events and help preserve the heritage in Ironbridge such as the Ironbridge Coracle Trust. The trust helps maintains two Coracle sheds and the Coracle man sculpture. The old Coracle shed is the last coracle shed in England and has been conserved with many of the tools and nets that Harry the last Coracle man used. It is now a museum near the Iron Bridge. The newer shed was built a few years ago in the Green Wood centre. It is wonderful to help conserve the history and heritage in Ironbridge.

Every year local business get together to help put on the annual wonderful Christmas Lights and fireworks in Ironbridge in November which brings big crowds to Ironbridge. We like to make a donation to this and help when we can.
Whether you're here for relaxation or adventure, your stay will help protect the past history and enrich the present, and create a better future. for Ironbridge and the local area.
